Danger of construction accidents evident after 3 workers hurt

Construction projects are constantly going on in Florida. Many people earn their living by working in the construction industry. While most worksites are safe and the projects move forward without incident, there is always a danger of something going wrong that can cause injuries and fatalities. Construction accidents can cause long-term problems for the injured person and his or her family. Because there can be such wide-ranging issues after a construction accident, filing a personal injury lawsuit is often the only way to secure fair compensation.

A construction accident injured three workers. The men were on scissor lifts and the lifts had toppled over. When emergency crews arrived, they used a ladder truck to remove the workers from the fourth floor and bring them to the ground. The accident happened at around 10:00 a.m. The workers reportedly had suffered serious trauma and were in critical condition. A witness who was working close to the site of the accident said that a crane that was hoisting a concrete wall hit the lifts and knocked them over. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by law enforcement and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Construction work often requires workers being stationed at great heights, using heavy equipment and relying on others to make sure that all the safety protocols are in place and everyone does their job in a safe and secure manner. Unfortunately, accidents happen for a variety of reasons and can leave a family struggling. The injured person might have been the breadwinner and was working construction to support a family. Suddenly, in one moment, that person will need hospital care, rehabilitation and perhaps long-term care. The financial, emotional and personal struggle can be overwhelming. Knowing how to have a full investigation into the incident to gather evidence for a potential legal filing is imperative.

In this incident, two cranes collapsed and three men were critically injured as they worked on the construction site. Although the investigation is ongoing, that does not mean that the families of these men should not protect themselves and have an investigation with their interests in mind. Having a lawyer who knows the details of construction accidents can help with sifting through the case and taking action where appropriate.
