Salpeter Gitkin associate, Joseph H. Rose, was recently honored among the 40 under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of Miami Dade County Benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease, a defective gene that causes the body to produce abnormal mucus that leads to chronic and life-threatening lung infections and impairs digestion. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been recognized as one of the top voluntary health organizations in the United States at efficiently using all funds raised to invest in research and medical programs. Salpeter Gitkin Associate, Cristy Caserta, is a part of the Tournament Committee for the Kathie's Classic to Benefit HANDY event. The Kathie's Classic is a Wine Dinner and Golf Tournament being held on March 29-30, 2012 by the HANDY organization. HANDY, Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps Broward County's foster care children who have been removed from their homes due to domestic violence, abuse, and abandonment. HANDY's free-of-charge programs provide children with safety and well being, education, activities, and other outlets providing children a voice in the community.
